A 20-year-old woman has been banned by a court order from buying alcohol anywhere in England after a string of public order offences.
Laura Hall is not allowed in any bars, clubs, pubs or bottle shops, becoming the first person to face a nationwide Drinking Banning Order (DBO), the Sun reported. The ban also applies to alcohol-selling venues in Wales.
After a series of drinking-related offences, Hall had already been banned from the pubs in her local area around Kidderminster, western England. The DBO also forbids her from having alcohol in an unsealed container in a public place and also requires her to attend an alcohol-misuse course.
Police said the ban was necessary in order to combat the woman's repeated alcohol-related public order offences.

A 20-year-old woman who became the first person banned from buying alcohol anywhere in England has again appeared in court to face another booze-related offence. Laura Hall is not allowed in any bars, clubs, pubs or bottle shops after copping the first ever nationwide Drinking Banning Order (DBO) last Thursday. But Hall was once again in court yesterday to face a charge of being drunk and disorderly on April 11 - just four days before the radical ban was imposed. She had earlier pleaded guilty to the charge at the Redditch Magistrates Court, taking her number of convictions to 26. District judge Bruce Morgan described Hall as "absolutely despicable" and said her behaviour "represents all that is rotten in society".

I agree, I have no idea how this ban would work in practice
